From the honky tonks of Honolulu to the plains of Alabama, what started in 1980 is back in the saddle again. First performed together as The Electric Rangers in Hawaii in 1980, recorded on Lehua Records. Toured the Orient & Asia as Freddy Fender’s road band. They performed with Tennessee Ernie Ford, Little Jimmie Dickens, Loretta Lynn and toured with both Jack Greene and sax great Ace Cannon. Disbanded in ’85, off on their own separate musical adventures, the last 2 members still standing - reunited, regrouped and are ready to resume the ride. Now based in Auburn with Uncle Roy’s Folk Art Gallery & Live Music Lanai as their headquarters where they perform every 3rd Sunday on a flatbed trailer in a homegrown situation not unlike their old backyard in Waimanalo, Hawaii. Andrew D on pedal steel, Telecaster, lap steel, banjo, Dobro. Uncle Roy guitar, harmonica, mandolin and lately, back on drums and newest Ranger, Randy McDaniel on upright and electric bass.

Back together with renewed energy, playing that authentic classic country, western swing and rockabilly that brung ‘em to the dance. With a new CD “Live @ Uncle Roy’s” under their belt, a place to call home and an appreciative audience The Electric Rangers are still alive and well. Happy to open the Sundown Series of live music concerts at Town Creek for the third year in a row, back again for the Fall Music Series at Keisel Park, coming on the heels of The Bike Bash,The Empty Bowls and the downtown Art Walk performances  it seems we have indeed found a home in Auburn, Alabama. Thank you and mahalo!
